Yet we begin to see more targeted points surrounding the importance of ignorance in the story, starting around the Reze arc. It's actually a great vehicle for the reader because we learn about the world as Denji learns, and it also helps him approach situations and problems from a unique perspective relative to other characters in the world. I think we can start at a very high level and say that one of Denji's key traits (as with many shounen MCs) is his healthy dose of ignorance to the world around him.
